The picture reminds me of my Dad’s WW II service and the stories he told me about travelling in military transport planes. While he worked in intelligence, he collected and analyzed news clippings. His love of news was passed onto me.
A few years ago, I was mesmerized as I watched the TV report about the potential disaster facing a JetBlue Airbus and its 141 passengers (Hradecky). My mind and emotions returned to a similar experience about twenty-five years before. The events, experiences and end result were similar. However, technological advances had dramatically changed how the story was reported, changing the impact on those involved, and upon their loved ones.
